The VB2240XL server features four of the latest
Six-Core Intel® Xeon® 7400 Series processors
and a 1066MHz front side bus for increased
performance. With faster processors, fully
buffered DIMM modules and Intel Virtualization
Technology, the VB2240XL is the ideal solution
for a full range of scale out applications.
The VB2240XL blade server is designed with
the data center of the future in mind. Available
with advanced features such as a 64MB snoop
filter, Intel I/O AT 2 and up to 192GB of memory,
the VB2240XL is the ideal platform for server
consolidation and virtual machine serving.
The VB2240XL provides exceptional processing
power and scalability to meet the demanding
requirements of today’s enterprise workloads.
The VB2240XL features an 80%+ efficient power
supply and IPMI 2.0 for system monitoring and
management. It also features optional KVM over
IP functionality and up to four SATA or SAS hard
drives. It supports the latest operating systems,
including Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server,
SUSE Linux and Red Hat® Linux.
