Sales Planner
Verari Systems, Inc. is the premier developer of powerful, flexible, and scalable platform-independent blade computing systems that are defining a new era in high performance utility computing for the enterprise data center is seeking a full time Sales Planner.
Scope and Responsibilities
Schedules the required materials to support the forecast, as well as schedules and coordinates the manufacturing of orders in order to meet customer requirements, maximize and report revenue.
Forecast Planning:
• Receives and reviews forecast from sales.
• Solicits material lead-times from procurement, within agreed upon SLA
• Establishes an agreeable lead-time expectation with sales team and takes appropriate actions to maintain the expectation (issues purchase requisitions or orders).
• Works to minimize excess inventory by identifying to procurement which materials are excess so procurement can return materials to suppliers for deals that change or are not awarded.
Order Fulfillment:
• Establishes and communicates kit dates, build dates and ship dates.
• Creates and updates work orders and communicates the changes.
• Acts as a point of escalation for irresolvable issues with order fulfillment.
• Escalates irresolvable issues to mgmt that may result in a schedule slipping.
• Communicates order status and timing both internally and externally.
• Works to ensure that orders ship on time to meet customer’s expectations.
• Works to ensure that revenue is recognized on all orders in a timely fashion.
• Notifies Procurement and Materials of any changes to kit dates,
• Changes orders/WO to accommodate ECO’s , Deviations or pending ECR’s
Experience and Requirements
Must have at least 3 years of related experience; A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Apics training; Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.
Education
A Bachelor's degree is preferred
