Finance Manager, Services

Verari Systems, Inc. is the premier developer of powerful, flexible, and scalable platform-independent blade computing systems that are defining a new era in high performance utility computing for the enterprise data center is seeking a full time Finance Manager, Services.


Scope and Responsibilities

To oversee and perform all financial planning, forecasting and reporting relating to the service organization. Including but not limited to direct support services provided by Verari and third party warranty services.

• Analyzes and reports financial performance related to the Service Organization.
• Develop, maintain and provide complex financial analysis, plans and projections utilizing knowledge of    advanced financial theories
• Control, Analyze, and report activity within training, installation, general and specific extended and    standard warranty reserves, and associated revenues and costs.
• Provide financial support to the Service and Operations organizations relative to training, installation and    warranty financial performance, including development and implementation of internal control policies and    procedures and identification of cost reduction, cash and profit improvement opportunities.
• Provide pricing suggestions for new warranty services
• Create and maintain price lists for training activities with accounting and financial reporting
• Analyzes financial information and prepares reports to summarize and interpret current and projected    results of Services.
• Assists with monthly closing procedures including account analysis for Balance Sheet accounts related to    Services.
• Communicates results and coordinates budgeting and forecasting with business unit managers.
• Recommend methods to streamline and improve processes and information reporting to maximize efficiency    and improve control.
• Manage vendor relationships with third party service provider(s)
• Work closely with Sales and Operations teams on Services activities, accounting, analysis and information.
• Ensure compliance with Company’s pricing policies for software, software support, and extended warranty    sales.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP rules for software, software support, and    extended warranty sales as well as installation and equipment sales.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Experience and Requirements

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience with a high tech manufacturing firm highly desired
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Preferably in a high technology manufacturing corporation with services and extended warranty revenues
• SEC/public company background highly desirable
• Experience working with ERP systems.


Education

• College degree in Finance or Accounting
• MBA preferred


Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift boxes of documents or inventory that weigh up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work extended hours in the event of a critical information need or special project
