Account Manager, Oil and Gas

Scope and Responsibilities
Responsible for selling the full range of Verari Systems products and services in specific vertical markets.
• Must be able to identify and qualify sales opportunities, apply knowledge of customers business and establish a value proposition that results in the sales of products and services in Oil and Gas.
• Must be able to prospect, qualify, propose, and close strategic account opportunities while working with team members to create a solution, clearly present Verari's value proposition, close the deals, and manage the ongoing relationship.
• The Account Manager should be able to achieve the revenue goals for hardware, software and services for his/her specific vertical as forecasted and agreed to with Management.
• The Account Manager is ultimately responsible for organizing the sales opportunities, revenue generation, and market penetration for customer, partner, product and solution sales.
• Works with management toward the creation and implementation of long-terms sales strategies into specific vertical markets and participates in the sales unit Quarterly Business Reviews.
• The Account Manager is expected to manage difficult customer problems and escalations, and ensure a high level of Customer service and satisfaction by working closely with Verari Systems Support Services and Verari’s Inside Sales Team (including Customer Service Reps).
• Must be a team player, working closely with Field Sales Engineers (FSE's) and representatives from other business units and external partners to expand and develop vertical market strategies.
• Work with Marketing Operations to expand customer testimonials, case studies, technical white papers and the like utilizes the customers they touch daily in their vertical markets ( oil and gas.)
Experience and Requirements
• 5 to 8 years of direct and/or channel outside sales experience with a significant industry technology provider of hardware, software, or services to Fortune 1000 clients and Oil & Gas.
• In depth knowledge of Sales and Account Management best practices. Demonstrated leadership and accomplishments in solution selling including hardware, software and consulting services.
• In depth experience participating in a highly professional sales organization to include: Customer Relationship management, forecasting, attainment of revenue goals, Expense Management & Control including travel related budgets.
• Superior strategic and tactical management and leadership skills, proven experience in leading a successful sales team, people development, partner management and team building.
• Consultative selling skills, mixed with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent account and opportunity planning skills, in order to leverage the sales process to capture business, engage partner and corporate resources.
• Assisting with field marketing activities such as: trade shows, training, seminars, customer public relations announcements and advertising.
• Ability to develop and deliver quality presentations to management and executive CXO's.
• Technical knowledge of Linux/Windows, servers, data center infrastructure, data storage, integrated software stacks, web services, Java, and edge computing.
• Understanding of Linux/Windows clusters and the commercial Linux/Windows marketplace.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Sound decision making, sound business judgment, strong mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of communications principles, media and public relations techniques.
Education
An undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing or Engineering (or the like) required.
Physical Requirements
• Work is in a typical office work environment (cubicle space).
• Ability to travel as necessary (travel varies but can reach 90% of job).
